Made to order: 

Jewellery

Because all your Skermunkil jewellery is lovingly hand made by a small manufacturing team in Muizenberg (read 2 people) we ask a lead time of 10 working days to fill orders; local and international. If we have your desired piece in stock we will send it straight away. 

All our copper pieces for enamelling is hand cut and enamelled in our small enamelling kiln in our lovely studio. one . piece . at . a . time. Because of the hand made nature of all our jewellery pieces, expect slight differences in finish; not quality.  We strive to finish each and every piece to our highest standard and make sure each and every piece is checked for quality before we send it to your loving hands. Please note that colours vary from computer screen to computer screen, the enamel piece you receive might vary slightly in colour tone from the picture you saw online. 

Don’t worry! We’re not going to send you an orange pendant when you ordered a black one.

 

Shipping:

Jewellery

You're parcel will arrive either lovingly wrapped in tissue paper or in a little gift box. we will package it in a gift bag that’s secured with string to keep it safe and sound.

If you are purchasing one of our ceramic jewellery pieces we might wrap it in some bubble wrap to make extra sure it gets to you safely.

We send local orders via a door to door courier service at a cost of R80. 

The parcel will take 3-4 days to get to you.

For orders over R1500, shipping is free!

Please remember to send us a physical address where someone will be during the day to accept the parcel. No post box addresses and no addresses for empty houses please!

We send international orders door to door via Fedex at a cost of R200 - R300, depending on country. The parcel should take 4-5 days to get to you. Also please remember the manufacturing time of products if we don't have them in stock.

 

Customs:

 

Customs and Import duties vary from product to product and country to country. Please investigate what these charges might be where you live, we can not be held responsible for any extra costs you might incur when receiving your master piece.

 

Returns:

Jewellery

Even though it’s almost impossible to comprehend, sometimes things go wrong. 

You receive the ring of your dreams,.…you were sure you ordered the right size,……but now….OH NO! it doesn't fit. (ugly face crying) 

You have two weeks to return your piece, in it’s original packaging, without it being worn, for the same ring in the right size or for a store credit.

We do not accept any returns after this 2 week grace period.

Unfortunately, you will be responsible for the shipping costs back to us then back to you. 

Alternatively you can drop it off or pick it up from our studio in Muizenberg. 

you can return any products, except:

  • personalised items
  • custom made jewellery
  • sale items
  • earrings 

We will check every chain for strength before we send it to you. We can not be held responsible for broken chains. 

We urge you to take great care in looking after your chains and to make sure you put your jewellery in a safe place when you are not wearing it. 

Knots are to chains what a hairdryer is to curly hair. A bad idea.

We will replace broken chains at a cost of R100-R200 depending on the chain thickness and chain length.

 

Repairs:

Now you own your first ? second ? or third ? treasured Skermunkil. Hooray!! In fact you love it so much you wear it every day. Double Hooray!! But something goes wrong….and it breaks. 

We can’t imagine how, but if it does you can send it back to us for repairs.

If your piece breaks in the first 6 months from purchase because of some manufacturing mishap, we will fix it for you free of charge. 

If it breaks after the first 6 months we will work out a repair quote depending on the work and time needed to fix it.

Please note: If you need something repaired and you are not in Cape Town you will also have to carry the courier costs of getting the piece to us and back to you.
